ABOUT US

A letter from Coach Brian....

When developing Kids Choice Sports programs, there were three main objectives that I wanted to accomplish:

1. Creating a safe and structured environment for play.
To create an environment that was safe and structured, I did a lot of research regarding equipment. I wanted to make sure that the equipment being used was developmentally appropriate and safe, but also stayed true to the game. I found that in some programs, such as the Little Sluggers Tee Ball program, that by using different colors for each of the stations, I could keep things structured, and it was also appealing to the eye.

2. Keeping things simple and fun.
In order to keep things simple and fun, a lesson plan was created for each sport. Each plan breaks down the rules and skills needed to play the sport into simple, fun, and easy to understand concepts. These lesson plans also involve finding out from the players what they liked most, and incorporating more of that into the program.

3. Creating the best youth sports program possible.
I believe that to create the best of something, you must first know what people want. I spend much of my time talking with and listening to parents and players. The feedback I get is important to me.

In closing, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has taken part in any Kids Choice Sports programs. I'm happy to say that I've made many new friends, and look forward to seeing everyone in the near future.

Sincerely,
Coach Brian
